Healing Circle @ Monarch Services

We’re holding a Healing Circle today for survivors who may be feeling triggered by the Kavanaugh hearing. It’s at our Santa Cruz office from 3-5 pm, and it’s free. Advocates will be available.

The City of Santa Cruz Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women (CPVAW) is holding a one-day Awareness and Prevention conference on Saturday, October 6, at the Louden Nelson Community Center.

The theme is “Transforming Together: A community working to shift gender stereotypes, end rape culture, and deconstruct the patriarchy.”

Childcare Safety Plan Webinar

One important aspect of family emergency preparedness is a parents’ selection of a child’s caretaker if something were to happen to them. Tanya Ridino, JD from Monarch Services and Community Law and Meditation Services of Northern California will guide advocates through the process of creating a temporary childcare custody document–the Childcare Safety Plan (CSP) informing necessary parties of their clients’ childcare wishes.
