Judi Estrada
Judith Estrada (she/her/ella) is the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) at the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. As the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Judith directs educational engagement opportunities for staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars. She supports units and departments with specific training regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility. She collaborates with DEI champions across campus to create an inclusive campus.
Dr. Estrada received her B.A. in Latin American and Latino Studies with a minor in Education from UC Santa Cruz. She is the proud recipient of Oake’s College 2024 Don Catalano Distinguished Alumni Award. Judith holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her dedication to educational equity stems from her own lived, pedagogical, and theoretical frameworks.
Judith is an active member of the University of California President’s Chicano/Latino Advisory Council (CLAC). The Council identifies the most significant barriers to expanding the presence of Chicano/Latino students, faculty and staff at UC. She enjoys running and drinking coffee with friends.
